My Journal
Below is my journal for my holiday's assignment. Well, it IS a real life journal, so it might be a little boring. Besides, I'm just an average teenage school girl, not some action hero, how interesting will it be? I'm really trying my best to improve on those 'B.O.R.I.N.G' parts. So, sit back and enjoy! ^^

I'm really nervous for the pubic performance at Grassroots' Club. We reached there and only had ONE rehearsal!!! We also saw another rehearsal by the Chinese Orchestra there.
The Orchestra members there had a range of age, from ten to about seventy years old! Wow! It's so weird though, having to interact and cooperate with someone, so much older. But, they played really well. Applauses!
Our performance finally started. I was really very nervous but something funny happened. Our Orchestra was playing this piece of music called 'The Grasshopper and the Rooster.' In the end of the song, the rooster, which was imitated by an instrument, was supposed to call. But, it croaked half way instead. It was really funny and many of us were sniggering while playing.
This day was the funniest performance ever!!!

I have been waiting for this day. I am going to watch MY BOYFRIEND IS TYPE B! It is a Korean comedy and romance movie. I was so crazy for this movie because of my favourite actor, Lee Dong Gun!
It is about matching blood type couples. The main actress, who is a Type A, met a Type B guy. It was stated that Type A girl is not compatible to a Type B guy. Then, a lot of funny things happen.
The movie was really not bad, quite funny. Well, one part of the movie was made to be sad. But, I ended up laughing because of the 'cartoonie' version which was really funny! My friends actually called me, a sadist, because of this. I cannot believe it!

Its last day of the month, and also… One more day to the June holidays, also known as the Summer Vacation! Not many plans line up though. It's just some movie catching, shopping and also… Getting up late! How good can it be!
Although I love shopping and all, but I will still keep some of my time for the holiday's assignments and stuffs. Which is what I am doing right now? The English assignments were quite reasonable. The Chinese ones were, maybe, a little too much. I just hope that I will still get some time for my holiday activities.
June holidays, here I come!
4th of June 2o05
I got a surprise from my cousins. Guess what?! Suddenly, in the mid-afternoon, I was being forced by my cousins to get into the car without knowing where I was going and they were happily taking over the wheel.
My oldest cousin who was 20 years old and, who failed the driving license four times before she passed, was driving!!! My 19 years old cousin assured me that even if something is wrong, he, the star driver of an arcade game, will handle that. So, at the moment I screamed, really screamed.
In the end, we reached the place by a taxi. The place that causes so much commotion is at Clark Quay, next to the Singapore River, where there lots of Airplane lovers fly their remote-controlled planes.
When the sky turned darker, it had filled with lots of colours because of the light bulbs attached to the planes. It was really very pretty.

Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa Resort was where I went with my family. It was great there with the scenery and facilities. All the rooms faced the pool and beach. There is also a balcony for all the rooms. The hotel layout was very unique and nice because it is shape like a wave, so that all the rooms can have the view.
We went to the beach. And, because it was weekends, there lots of people playing volley and all kind of things. Later on, we went for a swim in the pools. In the night, we went to the Musical Fountain. Wow! It was really pretty with all those lasers shots, colours, water spraying and fire balls shooting up the sky.
Although Sentosa has lots of activities, I got tired of them. The Underwater world was quite boring, looking at the fishes. But, the Sky Tower was really fun. I could see the whole of Singapore. It was fun because the 'carriage' was moving up and down and also, spinning around. We got in to the Cinemania; it has very good effects with the armchair. When, going through a tunnel or dropping down a hole, the chair moves to get the effect.
I had great fun there!
This is english assignment no. 2, one suspense narrative for about 350-500 words.Hope this story is okay and hope you enjoy this! *^
The Last VerseThe old wooden planks creaked as, Amelia and her gang walked on. The very smoothing sound became louder and louder.
"This is Beethoven's piece!" Miranda recognised with fear.
"So, the rumor IS true!" Paolo exclaimed.
The gang stopped and looked, wide eyed. "The curse- when someone heard it played till the end, the person will- will die.." Harvey gulped.
Amelia went to the source of the sound. "Okay. So the rumor is true about the music piece. But, the person will die? That's too extraordinary! Right, guys?" She was expecting a reply but, none came back. "Guys?" She turned around.
"Err. Amelia? Maybe you should look at this." Her Italy friend, Paolo pointed at a piano.
Amelia realized. The piano was playing, without anyone controlling it.
"It's just a self-controlled piano!" The stubborn girl said and went towards the dusty piano. As, she approached, the music stopped."See? Nothing happens," she smiled at her friend. Behind her, the coating dust on the piano revealed a trace of words.
"Last verse left." Harvey read and questioned, "What does that means?"
Paolo's voice broke out. "Last verse?" He looked at the musician, "Miranda, the piano didn't play until, the last verse did he- I meant, did it?"
"I'm afraid so."
'No', Amelia thought, 'this is not happening!'
"Yes, Paolo's right. If we don’t go back to the old school, we won't hear the last verse and therefore, won't be cursed!" Amelia comforted herself and lay on the bed under the mid-afternoon.
Suddenly, the phone rang. She answered it, "Hello?" A sound came, the sound of a piano. "The song!" She quickly hung up the phone. A bright light shone at Amelia. She squirted her eyes and saw the television showing the curse piano continuing, where it had stopped. "No!" she protested and ran out of her house.
"Paolo, I heard half of the last verse!"
"Paolo, you're sure about this?" Harvey asked while, all of them headed towards the old music room.
"Yes. What else can we do? Amelia's half died." Paolo answered, holding a torch, leading the way. Harvey glanced at Amelia.
"Ohh… Miranda, I'm dieing. No! I don't wanna die! I'm still so young!" Amelia wept.
"It's okay! We're going to save you." Miranda comforted her while, handing a tissue.
Paolo stopped. "Shhh," he hushed, "We are here! Okay, every ghost has their existing reason or source. So, we just have to find it."
"Hey, how did he know so much?" Harvey asked, looking at the girls. Miranda just shrugged.
Paolo opened the door. Then, the piano started to play and just beside it, a portrait of Beethoven glowed. Suddenly, a ghostly figure came out and played the piano. All of them were in shock, except Paolo.
"Bingo!" Paolo took a penknife out of his pocket and broke the portrait into two. The ghost howled and disappeared.
"Is there really a piano ghost?" Someone asked.
"It's for me to know and you, to find out." Paolo winked.
